SoCAL NAHRO
We are looking for professionals who are dynamic and passionate about housing and community development. We are encouraging individuals with insight and good ideas to get involved in making contacts and forming relationships to create a larger world in the field of housing - one that has new opportunities, resources, and relationships to make us all more effective, efficient and adaptable in this fast-changing field.
Training opportunities
We aim to encourage, develop, and provide educational programs to enhance the professional development, technical skills, and efficiency of housing and community development organizations.
Housing Advocacy
We advocate for relevant federal, state, and other regulatory issues that impact housing and community development, while working to initiate the development of public policies through the committee process.

As a group, one of our goals is to communicate effectively with our members, the media, the government, and others in the community, concerning issues related to affordable housing and community development.

We aim to develop, analyze, and disseminate information on housing and community development and related fields, while enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of members to facilitate an exchange of views.
Our Purpose
The purpose of the NAHRO is to be the leading housing and community development advocate for the provision of adequate and affordable housing and strong, viable communities, particularly those with low-and-moderate-incomes, and to enhance the professional development and effectiveness of NAHRO’s members. As the SoCAL NAHRO Chapter, we work with other organizations to develop coalitions and collaborative efforts to accomplish NAHRO’s mission.
Our Goals
We strive to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of members to facilitate an exchange of views. It is important that we communicate effectively with our members, media, government, and others concerning housing and community development. We monitor and advocate for relevant federal, state, and regulatory issues that impact housing and development. Also, we develop, analyze, and disseminate current information about housing and community development.
